Thanks to a suggestion from our multi-talented receptionist, Paulina, today Somnio Hostels will be celebrating Earth Hour.
Between 20:30 and 21:30 (GMT + 1), cities across Spain are doing their part to help the planet. Among other events in Barcelona, there is a jam session by La Sagrada Familia. At Somnio, we've decided to kill the lights for an hour and to invite our guests to a glass of wine by candlelight. Unfortunately, Lauren and I won't be here (our parents are in town so we'll be busy entertaining them) but I'm sure Alfonso will do a great job playing host to our guests.
Perhaps [Happy] Earth Hour will become a regular happening at the hostel?
